Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate... What is that?
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is derived from sarcosine. Sarcosine is a naturally occuring amino acid that is found in just about every living thing, including humans and plants. Our Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is made from coconut oil and is used in our shampoo bars as a Surfactant (it cleanses and makes bubbles). We use small quantities of Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate because it is both very mild and extremely effective.
To clear any confusion, while they have the same initials (SLS) Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate are completely different. There only similarity is that they are both surfactants.
